May 10th - May 16th: (Running On E)

Between more than usual hours at work and less than usual sleep, I have reached maximum exhaustion. I slept through 3 alarms and 3 text messages with my phone at max volume. I just want one night to relax and not have to worry about ANYTHING. Fingers crossed for Wednesday. Anyway, enough with the whining 2 new pieces. I kind of worry that "Let Go..." was a strike of luck, but it has gotten great feedback. "The Great Scuffle" is the third part to the "Epic Battle" robot and monster.

May 3rd - May 9th: Back Like a Heart Attack

I think we can all agree that a piece a day while you have anything else going on in your life is near impossible (especiialy when you work 50 hour weeks). So...welcome to te new format. Every Sunday I will post all the work I have done during the week.

More to Come!

Hey, sorry for the EXTREME delay in art. I have been sidetracked and superbusy with my birthday and other nuisances. I am considering moving this to a once or twice a week update with all stresses in life I would hate to make this just another one of those. Hang on, there's always more to come...

Sunday, March 7

Day 26 and 27: Error 220J Title Not Found

So by my math, I should be at Day 27.

"Strawberry Fields For (a Few Inches)"
Acrylic on wood

"Melted Butter(fly)"
Acrylic on canvas board

Day 22 - 25: Music For Your Eyes

Busy bad blogging. That alliteration describes my last few days. The pictures I submit to you are all music related including what I consider my "first" painting.

"Mourning Dove"
Acrylic on canvas board

General logo for the band Thursday.

"E. Von Dahl"
Acyrilic on canvas board

E. Von Dahl Killed The Loca1ls by the Matches. Tribute to Yvonne Doll.

Day 21: Decomposing

"Decomposer"
Acrylic on Scrabble Tiles

An oldie from '07. This is a tribute to The Matches album Decomposer and just like the song says, I feel like I'm decomposing below my clothes. Looking forward to better days.

Day 20: Throwback

"Babel Fish"

This is a super old painting with my old signature. Given to a friend that's always been there. The title is a Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy reference.

Day 19: Time Travel (to yesterday)

"The World's Greatest Explorer"

I thought I had uploaded this post yesterday, but I guess that didn't happen...

Friday, February 26

Day 18: The Distant Future...The Year 2000

Some robots from my sketchbook.

Page 1: Robo-Sheriff, Lovebot, Robot Zombie, Party Machine

Page 2: The Gentleman Robot, Landshark Robot

Day 17: Numerically Delicious

This is a sketchbook favorite of mine. Everyone nerds out on occasion...some more than others. Some would argue that the last 1198 decimal places are not necessary.

"1220 decimal places of Pi"

Day 16: Moster's Ink

Coming along nicely, hopefully I can make another big dent tomorrow after work. I don't like his right leg, probably going to have to go over it again :/

"MOtW"

Days 11 - 15: Major Ketchup

I have been super busy lately, today is my first day off in I don't even know how long. So it's time to catch up on the missed days, which I HAVE been doing art just not enough time to sit and upload pics. I'm working on a really cool (I hope) monster right now and hope to get it up in the next couple days, but it's a lot of painting.

Work In Progress "Monster Legs"

"Stickbottle"

"Untitled"

"Day & Night"

"how many licks?"

Day 10: Panda Express

"Pandamonium 2004" 12" x 24"
Acrylic on Wood

This is a tribute to some street art I saw, I do NOT know the original artist of the panda. I added the rest, I had fun with this I think I might do a couple more of these. My twist.

Wednesday, February 17

Day 8 & Day 9: PiP (Panda in Progress)...

Working on a painting that's taking a little longer than expected, was hoping on having it up today. Here are a couple old pieces to catch up. (I'm going to run out of old pieces to put up so I better step it up a little)

"strawberries"
Acrylic on Wood

"driftwood"

Day 7: Yesterday

Untitled Small Piece 12" x 6"
Acrylic on Wood

Did a little painting last night and this morning.

Monday, February 15

Day 6: Re-run (again...)

"Untitled RgB" not sure x not sure
Acrylic on Carboard

Anyway because I was busy figured I would upload an oldie but goodie. I think it is important to post some old pieces, both to enjoy the work I did and to see the progress and style changes I have made. plan on trying to paint tomorrow morning so hopefully I can finish catching up tomorrow.

Saturday, February 13

Day 5: The Great One

"Salvador Dali Lama"
Drawing Markers and Pen

Running late for getting ready to leave for work. He is the great one.

Day 4: I Hate Work

"2012" Huge' x Big' (somewhere in the 5-6 foot range)
Acrylic on Wood, Cork, Cardboard.

A long double shift at Pandini's today. I sketched on a napkin, but I forgot it so it will have to make it's way up later (perhaps "Day 4: I Hate Work, The Director's Cut"). So in order to hold all one reader(s) over, this is a recent painting that I love and will get back someday (KJ$).

Thursday, February 11

Day 3: Re-run

"Sharkwing" 22" x 16"
Mixed Media on canvas

This is a few week old screen print. I really am not feeling 100% so this will have to do for today. I really want a digital camera, maybe I'll get one with my tax return.

Day 2: Cabin Fever/Cold

"Sunny" 12" x 24"
Acrylic on Wood

I meant to upload this yesterday, but I fell asleep early because no power + no heat + 80 odd inches of snow = sick ryan.

Tuesday, February 9

Day 1: Night Owl

"owl always love you"
Acrylic on Wood 24" x 12"
